What time does Doe Camp start?
12pm on Friday we will be available to begin getting participants ready for housing assignments and class schedules.
What clothing should I bring?
Classes will happen rain or shine. Dress for the weather and be prepared to be outdoors. Vermont temperatures can drop dramatically at night. Cabins are insulated, not heated.
Can I bring my own gun or bow?
Yes, the instructors are fine with you bringing your own guns or bow to class. Please bring corresponding ammunition. Have your them unloaded, properly locked and secured in your possession at camp. Once you arrive at your class, let your instructor know you have brought your own, they will do a quick lookover and likely let you proceed.
Can I bring my: kayak, bike?
You are welcome to bring your own equipment for peddling or lake adventure. The area is relatively flat with trails or wide open highways to ride along. Absolutely picturesque!!
Jackson's Lodge also provides use of their kayaks, canoes, PFD's.

If you've attended an event before please bring your nametag!! Otherwise, we can provide you with a new one
Registration | Volunteers
What does my registration fee cover?
Registration cost includes: lodging, 5 meals, classes and materials.
How can I volunteer? How can I help support DCN efforts?
Our organization is an ALL VOLUNTEER effort. You can reach out to a board member to see where you can be helpful on the day of an event.
We also invite you to help when we need you most, all year long! Reach out to help@doecamp.org to become more active!!
Please recognize that we are an all volunteer run program. We will facilitate a means of tipping your instructors and it will be shared with them.
Housing | Food
What are lodging options & how do I reserve them?
Options for lodging include cabins with multiple rooms (can request bunkmates or be grouped with other individuals), single room, tent camping, or RV camping. Options are chosen on the registration page and the Doe Camp organizers will handle all accommodation bookings with Jackson’s Lodge. Pricing is dependent on chosen lodging option.
What are the camping facilities like?
Jackson's Lodge has waterfront cabins and a large field in the front/center of the property. Open and accessible port-a-potty's will be available to participants as well as outdoor shower facilities.
What are the cabin facilities like? Do we need to bring sleeping bags, pillows, towels, etc?
Jackson's Lodge has waterfront cabins with full kitchens, bathrooms, hot water, beds, linens!!
Can I bring my RV?
Jackson's Lodge has waterfront cabins and a large field in the front/center of the property. Open and accessible port-a-potty's will be available to participants as well as outdoor shower facilities. There are no hook-ups available.

Can I come to the event and not take classes or bring my own food for a reduced fee?
Due to the large coordinated effort for the venue and all the materials, reduced fees are not available at this time.
What happens if I have food restrictions?
Please email your restrictions to us at help@doecamp.org in advance. We will forward it to our caterer. Be advised that not all requests will be possible.
Can I bring my dog to camp?
We ask that you please leave ALL animals at home. Our campers will have their days consumed with classes, bunking together with old and new friends. Animals will create a distraction and potential allergies etc.
Medical | Safety
What if I have a medical emergency?
We do have a doctor on site. However, she will not be available 24/7, this is an emergency option only. You would need to go to the nearest hospital.
Donations | Silent Auction
Why donate to DCN?
DCN is a 501(c)3, which means we are a not for profit entity. Any items or monies donated to DCN can be written off on your taxes!!! Ask any board member to get you set up with a receipt and you can feel good about your donation, knowing that you are helping our program live on!!
Why donate to our Silent Auction?
Our Silent Auction is a fun way to keep women adventuring in the outdoors! The items in our auction have been donated by instructors, participants and businesses. It is a fun way to support business and add revenue to our 501(c)3!! Feel free to bring an item for the auction!
